Athens, Tenn.- To be one of the top men's track and field programs in the nation, you continually have to bring in top-tier talent. That is exactly what head cross country/ track and field coach Sam Roberts. Since taking over as head coach of the track and field program, the men's team has seen a number of school records fall, sent multiple people to the NAIA National Championship events, and won the program's first outdoor individual national championship (4x100m Relay). 

"Every year we set out to fill our roster with national-level athletes.  This year's men's recruiting class may be the program's best-ever both athletically and academically," stated Roberts. "We focused on accomplished high school athletes with a broad range of skills.  Several are going to be in multiple event groups as our training cycles move forward."
