[Women's Cross Country] Lady Bulldogs start season with a winPublished by
The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Canton, GA to run in the Reinhardt Invitational at Boling Park. From the beginning, Tennessee Wesleyan made its presence known with 8 in the top 10 after the first loop. The Lady Bulldogs kept up the pace with Hannah Rhodes and Mysteree Bottoroff competing for 1st. Hannah Rhodes finished on top finishing the 4k in a time of 15:16.12. While Bottoroff finished in 15:16.19. The Lady Bulldogs had others who finished 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th to round out the top 10. Coach Roberts was "excited to start the season with a win by the girls team. The first meet sometimes can set the tone for an entire season. Hannah Rhodes and Mysteree Bottoroff have trained together all pre-season so it's fitting that they raced together on the lead all the way to the finish line. "Our goal for Friday's meet was stay together and stay at the front and the girls did that."
