ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Leah Chance of Tennessee Wesleyan University is the Appalachian Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the seventh and final edition of the weekly honors for the 2017 season.

AAC Track Athlete of the Week

Leah Chance - Tennessee Wesleyan - Sr. - Oak Ridge, Tenn.

Named the Track Most Outstanding Performer at the AAC Championship Meet.

Won both the 10,000 meter run and the 3,000 meter steeplechase.

Helped the 4x800 relay team to a second-place finish and was fifth in the 5,000 meter run.

This is her first weekly honor this season.
